D. 1841.\nBE IT REMEMBERED, That on the\n22 of march\nday\nin said year\nappeared before said Court, the same being a Court of Record, with Common Law Jurisdiction, a Clerk and a Seal, and made\n1 monthy Ryan of Derby In shire Country\napplication to said Court to become a Citizen of the United States: And upon examination first had, it being made to appear,\nand this Court having found to their satisfaction that the said Timothy Ryan\nis a free white male\nperson of lawful age, an alien and a subject of Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland,\nyears, that he was born in\nIreland\nin said\nthat he is now of the age of\n35\nKingdom, that he has resided in the United States constantly for more than five years last past, and in said State of Connecti-\ncut for more than one year last past, and that he has during all said time behaved himself as a good citizen, has a good moral\ncharacter, and is attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order\nand\nhappiness of the same. It also appearing to this Court that said\nsimothy Ryan\ndid, pursuant\nto the laws of the United States, appear before the\nCont of Common Pleas within and for\nHe Country of Erie in the Itale of the back\nCountwithing for\non the\n22\nday of april\nA. D. 1844 , the same being a Court of Record with Common Law Jurisdiction, a Clerk and a Seal, and on Oath did declare\nthat it was bona fide his intention to become a citizen of the United States, and to renounce all allegiance and fidelity forever\nto every foreign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom\nof Great Britain and Ireland,\nby the Records of said Court appear. And the said Dimethy Ruan\nnow here\nàs\nin this Court declares on Oath, that he doth absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to every for-\neign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great\nBritain and Ireland,\nof whom he is now a subject, and he also declares on Oath, that he will support the Constitution of the United States of Amer-\nica.\nWherefore\nthe said Temothy Ryan\nis hereby, by this Court, admitted and declared\nto be a Citizen of the United States of America.\nSTATE OF CONNECTIOUT, }\nss.\nCOUNTY OF NEW HAVEN:\n28th\nBE IT REMEMBERED, That clerk on the of the County\nday of March\nA. D. 184 9\nbefore the me He every 4 gavis Court, within and for said County, having Common Law Jurisdiction, with a Clerk and a\nSeal, personally appeared,\nJohn Harckatt\nof Branford\nin\nsaid County, who was born in areland\naged about\n29\nyears, and on Oath did declare that it was bona fide his intention to become a\nOITIZEN OF TBE 0 NITED STATES and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign\nPrince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatever-and particularly to Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great\nBritain and Ireland,\nof whom he is now a subject.\nIn Testimony Whereof, I,\n16 mm 4.
