D. 1850.\nBE IT Loseph REMEMBERED, Rowland That on the is h of the Waterbury day of hi in said said year County\nMarch\nappeared before said Court, the same being a Court of Record, with Common Law Jurisdiction,la Clerk and a seal, and made\napplication to said Court to become a Citizen of the United States: And upon examination first had, it being made to\nand this Court having found to their satisfaction that the said\nJoseph Bowland h is a free white appear, male\nperson of lawful age, an alien and a subject of Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland,\nthat he is now of the age of\n22\nyears, that he was born in\nEngland\nin said\nKingdom, that he has resided in the United States constantly for more than five years last past, and in said State of Connecti-\neut for more than one year last past, and that he has during all said time behaved himself as a good citizen, has a good moral\ncharacter, and is attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good\nhappin SS of the same. It also appearing to this Court that said\nJoseph Rowland h.\norder\nand\ndid, pursuant\nlather\namenica before attaining to the age of 18 years and that\ntamoof the United State appear before the arrive in the United Stales of\nhe has continued to reside therein thence hither and\nhe how. here my oath declares that for three years last\npast it has been and now is\nCourtwithin and to\non the\ndayof\nAD 18\nthe being + Court of Record with Common Law Jurisdiction, a Clerk and a Seal, and on Oath did doclare\nthut it was bona fide his intention to become a citizen of the United States, and to renounce all allegiance and fidelity forever\nto every foreign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom\nof Great Britain and Ireland,\nas by the Records of said Court appear. And the said\nAnswell Rowland k\nnow here\nin this Court declares on Oath, that he doth absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to every for-\neign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great\nBritain and Ireland,\nica. Wherefore the said Moseph Rowland h. is hereby, by this Court, declared Amer-\nof whom he is now a subject, and bie also declares on Oath, that he will support the Constitution of the United States of\nadmitted and\nto be a Citizen of the United States of America.\nSTATE OF CONNECTIOUT\nss.\nCOUNTY OF NEW HAVEN:\nBE IT REMEMBERED, That en the\n10th\nday of\nSeptember\nA.
