D. 185 / .\nBE\nHaror of additioning\nIT REMEMBERED, That Cheshire on the 2% day April in said year fisher\nof\nappeared before Said Court, the same being a Court of Record, with Common Law Jurisdiction, a Clerk and a Seal, and made\napplication to said Court to become a Citizen of the United States : And upon examination first had, it being made to appear,\nand this Court having found to their satisfaction that the said\nHarvey\nis a free white male\nperson of lawful age, an alien and a subject of Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland,\nthat he is now of the age of 45 years, that he was born in Ireland\nin said\nKingdom, that he has resided in the United States constantly for more than five years last past, and in said State of Connecti-\ncut for more than one year last past, and that he has during all said time behaved himself as a good citizen, has a good moral\ncharacter, and is attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and\nhappiness same. to\nlaws of of the the United It States also appearing before this the Court that said gottere Hand did,\npurcuant\nto the appoar\narrived before allaining\nthe agen eighteen years and lead coutet\ntherein thence Phitterlo and he slow houson gath deslars\nthat for theee years less least it hasbeen\nCountwithinand for\non the\ntay of\nA. D. 18\nthe being Court of Record with Common Law Jurisdiotion Clerk and a Seal, and on Oath did declare\nthat it was bona fide his intention to become a citizen of the United States, and to renounce all allegiance and fidelity forever\nto every foreign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom\nof Great Britain and Ireland,\nas by the Records of said Court appear. And the said Johns Havey\nnow here\nin this Court declares on Oath, that he doth absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to every for-\neign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great\nBritain and Ireland,\nof whom he is now a subject, andhhe also declares on Oath, that he will support the Constitution of the United States of Amer-\nica. Wherefore the said John Hanoey\nis hereby, by this Court, admitted and declared\nto be a Citizen of the United States of America.\nSTATE OF CONNECTIOUT,\nss.\nCOUNTY OF NEW HAVEN:\nBE IT REMEMBERED, That on the\n25th\nbefore those beside bleskopther Court, within and for said County, having Common Law Jurisdiction, with a Clerk and\nday of July\nA. D. 1850\na\nSeal, personally appeared, Charles Payne Lord\nof new Ibasen\naged about Hirty fire\nin said County, who was born in England\nyears, and on Oath did declare that it was bonnt fide his intention to become a\nOITIZIEN OF THE UNITED STATES and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign\nPrince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatever-and particularly to Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great\nBritain and Ireland,\nof whom he is now a subject.\nIn Testimony Whereof, I, Robin Osborn Clerk of said Court, have hereunto set my\nhand and the Seal of said Court, the day and year aforesaid.\nClerk."
