D. 1887.\nBE IT REMEMBERED, That on the\n5th\nday of April in said year William\nHaven said country\nappeared béfore said Court, the same being a Court of Record, with Common Law Jurisdiction, a Clerk and a Seal, and made\napplication to said Court to become a Citizen of the United States: And upon examination first had, it being made to appear,\nand this Court having found to their satisfaction that the is a free\nwhite male\nperson of lawful age, an alien and a subject of Viotoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland,\nthe Government and Account thority\nthat he is now of the age of\n88\nyears, that he was born in Germany\nin said\nKingdom, that he has resided in the United States constantly for more than five years last past, and in said State of Connecti-\ncut for more than one year last past, and that he has during all said time behaved himself as a good citizen, has a good moral\ncharacter, and is attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and\nhappiness of the same. It also appearing to this Court that said William defeffer did,\npursuant\ntothe tamn of the United States eppear before the arrived in the Adruted states of\nand has continued torbside thereon there lithasts\nAmerica be a tlaining to the age of eighteen years\nand he now here on oath declared that for There gears\nlast padl it has been and moul d\nCourt within and for\non the\nday of\nA 1 18\n,\nthe seme being et Court of Record with Common taw Jurisdiction, a Clerk and a Seal and Ott Oath did declare\nthatit was-bona fide his intention to become a citizen of the United States, and to renounce all allegiance and fidelity forever\nto every foreign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Viotoria, Queen of the United Kingdom\nof Great Britain and Ireland.\nand Aultinities of Generary\nasby\nthe Records of said Court appear. And the said William Pefeffer\nnow here\nin this Court declares on Oath, that he doth absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to every for-\neign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great\nBritain and Ireland,\nthe legal constituted Authorities of German\nof whom he is now a subject, and he also declares on Oath, that he will support the Constitution of the United States of Amer-\nica. Wherefore the said William Refeffer is hereby, by this Court, admitted and declared\nto be a Citizen of the United States of America.\nSTATK OF CONNECTIOUT, D\nCOUNTY OF NEW HAVEN:\n}\nss.\nBE IT REMEMBERED, That on the\n6th\nday of November A. D. 1850,\nbefore the Superior\nCourt, within and for said County, having Common Law Jurisdiction, with a Clerk and a\nSeal,\npersonally appeared, Thomas Lannan\nof\nDerby\nin said County, who was born in Ireland\naged about\n27\nyears, and on Oath did declare that it was bona fide his intention to become a\nOITIZIEN OF THE NITED STATES and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign\nPrince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatever-and particularly to Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great\nBritain and Ireland,\nof whom he is now a subject.\nIn Testimony Whereof, I,\nClerk of said Court, have hereunto set my\nhand and the Seal of said Court, the day and year aforesaid.\nClerk."
