That on the\nday of April in said year Peter\nappeared illattas before said of thew in once Country\nCourt, the same being a Court of Record, with Common Law Jurisdiction, K Clerk and a Seal, and made\napplication to said Court to become a Citizen of the United States And upon examination first had, it being made to\nand this Court having found to their satisfaction that the said Poles Mallar\nappear,\nis a free white male\nperson of lawful age, an alien and a subject of Victorit. Queen of the United Kingtlom of Great Britain and Ircland,\nof The Rehublic of france\nthat he is now of the age of\n54\nyears, that he was born in France\nin said\nKingdom, that he has resided in the United States constantly for more than five years last past, and in said State of Connecti-\ncut for more than one year last past, and that he has during all said time behaved himself as a good citizen, has a good moral\ncharacter, and is attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and\nhappiness of the same. It also appearing to this Court that said Telec Matter\ndid, pursuant\nto the laws of the United States, appear before the\nHeney G Lervis blackofthe county\nCourt within and for jacie county\non the\n20\nday of L April\nA. D. 1849 , the same being a Court of Record with Common Law Jurisdiction, a Clerk and a Seal, and on Oath did declare\nthat it was bona fide his intention to become a citizen of the United States, and to renounce all allegiance and fidelity forever\nto every foreign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Vietorio, Queen of the United Kingdom\nof Grent Britain and Iroland,\ntrench Republic the legally constituted A a the\nas\nby the Records of said Court appear. And the said Peter Mattas\nnow here\nin this Court declares on Oath, that he doth absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to every for-\neign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Groat\nBritain and Ireland\nRepublic The legally constituted aalthoutics of the \"rench\nof whom he is now a subject, and he also declares on Oath, that he will support the Constitution of the United States of Amer-\nica. Wherefore the said Reter Matters\nto be a Citizen of the United States of America.\nis hereby, by this Court, admitted and declared\nSTATK OF CONNECTIOUT,\nCOUNTY OF NEW HAVEN:\n}\nss.\nBE IT REMEMBERED, That on the\nschool\nday of november\nbefore within and for said County, having Common Law Jurisdiction, with a Clerk and a\nA.
