D. 185/.\nreasonal No. Alfred\nBE IT REMEMBERED, That on the\nBoil of hew tha jaid County\n7th\nday of April\nin said year Edwark\nappeared before shid Court, the same being a Court of Record, with Common Law Jurisdiction, a Clerk and a Seal, and made\napplication to said Court to become a Citizen of the United States: And upon examination first had, it being made to appear,\nand this Court having found to their satisfaction that the said Edward Boil\nis a free white male\nperson of lawful age, an alien and a subject of Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland,\nthat he is now of the age of\n21\nyears, that he was born in Irelaced\nin said\nKingdom, that he has resided in the United States constantly for more than five years last past,and in said State of Connecti-\ncut for more than one year last past, and that he has during all said time behaved himself as a good citizen, has a good moral\ncharacter, and is attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and\nhappiness of the same. It also appearing to this Court that said disoud Boil\ndid, pursuant\ntathe laws of the United States appear before the arrioed an the united States of\n&\nand Hegal hehal contribud to reside thosein there filters\nmurice before attacing to the ago ofeageteen years\npast and is has been on and oath nowis declined that for three years\nGourtwithinandfor\non the\nday of\nA. D.18\nthe boing a Court of Record with Common Law Jurisdiation a Clork and a Seal and on Oathddid doolare\nthirt it was bona fide his intention to become a citizen of the United States, and to renounce all allegiance and fidelity forever\nto every foreign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom\nof Great Britain and Ireland,\nas by the Records of said Court appear. And the said Edward Boil\nnow here\nin this Court declares on Oath, that he doth absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to every for-\neign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great\nBritain and Ireland,\nof whom he is now a subject, and he also declares on Oath, that he will support the Constitution of the United States of Amer-\nica. Wherefore the said Edward Boil\nis hereby, by this Court, admitted and declared\nto be a Citizen of the United States of America.\nSTATE OB CONNECTIOUT\nCOUNTY OF NEW HAVEN:\n}\nss.\nBE IT REMEMBERED, That\non, schotthe the 7/14\nday of november\nA. D. 1850,\nbefore Court, within and for said County, having Common Law Jurisdiction, with a Clerk and a\nSeal, personally appeared,\nThomas Newman\nof necotbasen\nin said County, who was born in Ireland\naged about\n27\nyears, and on Oath did declare that it was bona fide his intention to become a\nCINIZIEN OF THES NITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign\nPrince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatever-and particularly to Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great\nBritain and Ireland,\nof whom he is now a subject.\nIn Testimony Whereof, I, Roberte.Ortom\nClerk of said Court, have hereunto set my\nhand and the Seal of said Court, the day and year aforesaid.\nClerk."
