    "ocrText": "288\nUnited States of Amerita, State of\nAt a special County\nCourt, holden in and for the County of New Haven, on the\nday of Alexander Present there\nBE IT REMEMBERED,\nBlu kerley of\nthe That same on being the a Court of Record, day of with Common in Law Jurisdiction, in said year Harring a Clerk and a\nappeared before said Court, Seal, and made\napplication to said Court to become a Citizen of the United States: And upon examination first had, it being made to appear,\nand this Court having found to their satisfaction that the said HeurgBacheslog\nis a free white male\nperson of lawful age, an alien and a subject of Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland,\nthat he is now of the age of\n21\nyears, that he was born in Izoland\nin said\nKingdom, that he has resided in the United States constantly for more than five years last past, and in said State of Connecti-\ncut for more than one year last past, and that he has during all said time behaved himself as a good citizen, has a good moral\ncharacter, and is attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and\nhappiness of the same. It also appearing to this Court that said Henry Blakedley\ndid, pursuant\nto the tamor of the United States, appear beforethe arrived the united states of\nand that he harcontinued to reside thurch\nAccories before attaining to the age of sighteen go\nand he now here on oath declared that for three years\npast it has been and now is\nCourtwithinand-for\non the\ndays of\nA. 1.18\n, the being a Court of Record with Common Law Jurisdiction, et Clerk and a Seal, and on Oath did declare\nthut it was bona fide his intention to become a citizen of the United States, and to renounce all allegiance and fidelity forever\nto every foreign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom\nof Great Britain and Ireland,\nas by the Records of said Court appear. And the said Henry Blakeslay\nnow here\nin this Court declares on Oath, that he doth absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allégiance and fidelity to every for-\neign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great\nBritain and Ireland,\nof whom he is now a subject, and he also declares on Oath, that he will support the Constitution of the United States of Amer-\nica. Wherefore the said Honry Beakerley\nis hereby, by this Court, admitted and declared\nto be a Citizen of the United States of America.\nSTATK OB CONNECTIOUT\nss.\nCOUNTY OF NEW HAVEN:\nBE IT REMEMBERED, day of moverin bee A. D.\n1850.\nbefore the me Robert Osborn Court, within and for said County, having Common Law Jurisdiction, with a Clerk and\npolers Walsh\na\nSeal, personally appeared,\nof new Haven\nin said County, who was born in Ireland\naged about\n34\nyears, and on Oath did declare that it was bona fide his intention to become a\nOITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign\nPrince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatever-and particularly to Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great\nBritain and Ireland,\nof whom he is now a subject.\nIn Testimony Whereof, I,\nClerk of said Court, have hereunto set my\nhand and the Seal of said Court, the day and year aforesaid.\nRobert the Obborw Clerk."
