    "ocrText": "United States of America, State of Connectitut, as.\nAt a Special Circuity Court, holden in and for the County of New Haven, on the\n30\nday of luck\nA. D. 1846.\nBE IT REMEMBERED, That on the\n30\nday of use\nin said year\nWilliam Coclimane\nappeared before said Court, the same being a Court of Record, with Common Law Jurisdietion, a Clerk and a Seal, and made\napplication to said Court to become a Citizen of the United States: And upon examination first had, it being made to appear,\nand this Court having found to their satisfaction that the said UmmCachrane\nis a free white male\nperson of lawful age, an alien and a subject of Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland,\nthat he is now of the age of\nyears, that he was born in\nreland\nin said\nKingdom, that he has resided in the United States constantly for more than five years last past, and in said State of Connecti-\ncut for more than one year last past, and that he has during all said time behaved himself as a good citizen, has a good moral\ncharacter, and is attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and\nhappiness of the same. It also appearing to this Court that said\nCochrame\ndid, pursuant\nto the laws of the United States, appear before the City\nCourt within and for the is\non the 25\nday of March\nA. D. 18 44, the same being a Court of Record with Common Law Jurisdiction, a Clerk and a Seal, and on Oath did declare\nthat it was bona fide his intention to become a citizen of the United States, and to renounce all allegiance and fidelity forever\nto every foreign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom\nof Great Britain and Ireland,\nas by the Records of said Court appear. And the\nsaid Uniour Cockrane\nnow here\nin this Court declares on Oath, that he doth absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to every for-\neign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great\nBritain and Ireland,\nof whom he is now a subject, and he also declares on Qath, that he will support the Constitution of the United States of Amer-\nica. Wherefore the said\nWilliam Cochrance\nis hereby, by this Court, admitted and declared\nto be a Citizen of the United States of America.\nSTATE 05 CONNECTIOUT,\n}\nss.\nCOUNTY OF NEW HAVEN:\nBE IT REMEI MBERED, That on the\nme the as claimed\n29\nday of aug\nA. D. 184\nbefore\nCourt, within and for said County, having Common Law Jurisdiction, with a Clerk and :\nSeal, personally appeared,\nNewry Goldsmith\nof\nin said County, who was born in Burnia\naged about\nzz\nyears, and on Oath did declare that it was bona fide his intention to become a\nOITIZEN OF THE U NITED STATES and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign\nPrince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatever-and particularly to Vietoria, Queenef the United Kingdom of Great\nLouis king of Bavana\nof whom he is now a subject.\nIn Testimony Whereof,\nI, John S.
