D. 1848.\nBE IT REMEMBERED, That on the 28 the\nday of Mearch\nin said year\nCharlesJohn Brassill of New u aven in 2aid County\nappedred before said Court, the same being a Court of Record, with Common Law Jurisdiction, Clerk and a Seal, and made\napplication to said Court to become a Citizen of the United States/: And upon examination first had, it being made to appear,\nand this to\nCourt having found their satisfaction that the said John Brassill\nis a free white male\nperson of lawful age, an alien and a subject of Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland,\nthat he is now of the age of\n23\nyears, that he was born in\nPresand\nin said\nKingdom, that he has resided in the United States constantly for more than five years last past, and in said State of Connecti-\neut for more than one year last past, and that he has during all said time behaved himself as a good citizen, has a good moral\ncharacter, and is attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and\nhappiness of the It also appearing this Court that said\nsame. to\ndid.\nto the tassoof the United States\noppear before the arrive in the united States before\nattaining the age of 18 years. and that he has continued\nto resule therein thence hitherto and he now here\nbeen and now is\non oath declares that for three years last past it has\nCourt within and ion\nott the\nday of\nA.D.18 the some being + Court of-Reoord with Common Law Jurisdiction Clerk and a Seat and on Dath did declare\nthat it was bona fide his intention to become a citizen of the United States, and to renounce all allegiance and fidelity forever\nto every foreign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom\nof Great Britain and Ireland,\nas by the Records of said Court appear. And the said\nJohn A\nnow here\nin this Court declares on Oath, that he doth absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to every for-\neign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great\nBritain and Ireland,\nof whom he is subject, and lie also declares on Oath, that he will support the Constitution of the United States of Amer-\nica.\nWherefore now a the said\nis hereby, by this Court, admitted and declared\nto be a Citizen of the United States of America.\nSTATE OF CONNECTIOUT,\nss.\nCOUNTY OF NEW HAVEN:\nBE IT REMEMBERED, That on the\n13th\nday of november\nA. D. 184 6\nCounty\nbefore the of the Court, within and for said County, having Common Law Jurisdiction, with a Clerk and 1\nSeal, personally appeared,\nPatrick Qualy\nof Offord\nin said County, who was born in Ireland\naged about\n30\nyears, and on Oath did declare that it was bona fide his intention to become a\nOTTIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign\nPrince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatever-and particularly to Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great\nBritain and Ireland,\nof whom he is now a subject.\nIn Testimony Whereof, I, Rife Obbern\nClerk of said Court, have hereunto set my\nhand and the Seal of said Court, the day and year aforesaid.\nR.H.
