At a Superior Court holden in and for the County of New Haven, on the First Tuesday of Alarch A.D.185 new Haven in said County, appeared before said Court, the same being a Court of Record, with common Law Jurisdiction, a Clerk BE IT REMEMBERED, That on the 18th day of Manch in said year John Greciandi of and made application to said Court, to become a citizen of the United States: And upon examination first had, it being made to appear, and this Court having found a Seal, to and their satisfaction, that the said applicant is a free chite male person of lawful age, an alien, and a subject of Kictoria, Queen in of said the Kingdom; has resided in the United States that he constantly is megy of TOR the more age of than 29 five years years last past, that and he was in said born State in Italy of Connectiont for more than one The United kingdont king ofa Gropt of Britain Maly and Iround year last past, and that he has during all said time behaved himself as a good citizen, has good moral character, and is attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. It also appeasing to this Court, that said applicant did, pursuant to the laws of the United States, appear before the Court within and for on the day of A. D. 185 the same being a Court of Record, with common Law Jurisdiction, a Clerk and a Seal, and on Oath did declare that it was bona fide his intention to become a citizen of the United States, and to renounce all allegiance and-fidelity forever to every Foreign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, as by the Record of said Court appears. And the said applicant, now here in this Ceurt, declares on Oath, that he doth absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to every Foreign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatexer, and particularly to Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he is now a subject, and he also declares on Oath, that he will support the Constitution of the United States of America. Wherefore, the said applicant is hereby, by this Court, admitted and declared, to be a citizen of the United States of America. United States of America, State of Connectiont, ss.
