D. 187 0, the same being a Court of Record, with common Law Juris- diction, a Clerk and a Seal, and on oath did declare that it was bona fide his intention to become a citizen of the United States, and to renounce all allegiance and fidelity forever to every Foreign Prince, Potentate, State and Sover- eignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, as by the Record of said Court appears.
