It also appearing to this Court, that said applicant did, pursuant to the laws of the United States, appear before the bluk of this Court withjn and for on the \ day of March A. D. 1876, the same being a Court of Record, with common Law Juris- diction, a Clerk and a Seal, and on oath did declare that it was bona fide his intention to become a citizen of the United States, and to renounce all allegiance and fidelity forever to every Foreign Prince, Potentate, State and Sover- eignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, as by the Record of said Court appears.
