appeared before
the Court of Common Pleas for sald County of New London, at

Record, having common Law Jurisdiction, and a Clerk and Séal, and declared on oath that it was
our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty nine ty- four the said Court being a Court of
bona fide his intention to become a citizen of the United States, and to renounce forever all allegiance
and fidelity to any Foreign Prince, Potentate, State, or Sovereignty, whatever, and particularly to the
Government of Alexander III Czar of Russia.
