A BILL
To amend the Public Health Service Aet to authorize grants
to States for the purpose of assisting States to provide chil-
dren and expectant mothers an opportunity for vaccination
against poliomyelitis.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

2 tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
3 That section 314 of the Public Health Service Act, as
4 amended (42 U. S. C. 246) , is amended-
5
(a) by redesignating subsection (c) as subsection
6
(c) (1) and by adding at the end of such subsection
7
a new paragraph as follows:

(2) To enable the Surgeon General to assist, through
9 grants, the States to provide children (under the age of
