Fragments of an Ode Found in a Typewriter Over the Weekend
- by
In
Washington they read the news
Bill Bundy
And scratch their heads and sit and muse
Do you suppose that we could win
With Minh?
If we should put in Dr. Quat,
Then what?
Or do you think that we could go
With Do?
Why don't we wait for Lightning Joe?
He '11 know.
When Diem took over the police
Bao Dai' 's nine cars whizzed back from Nice,
He sent a wire that Diem was Canned
And General Vy should take command.
So General Vy saw General Ty
And thought that they could both agree;
But when they went to call on Diem
He muttered curtly, "Nuts to them."
While his Assembly turned the tide
(100mg)
And passed a law called "Bao Died".
Then Vy presented his appearance
And unto Diem proclaimed adherence
"Good only for this day and train."
So now the tables turn again
What happens next we'll wait and see
After the next ten meetings of the IAC!
