Dear President Eisenhower:
We know you like to paint and are fond of children (grand-
children especially), so I am taling the liberty of sending you
a few pictures made on January 20 as I visited our schoolrooms.
The children are in grades 2, 3 and 4, and only those in the
fourth grade who worked on gray paper had an opportunity to
hear the broadcasts.
I hope the pictures will show you our deep interest in the
event and in your welfare. I'm sure you will sense the impres-
sion your blue "Hamburg", as one youngster called it, and Mrs.
Eisenhower's bangs made upon the children!
Our best and sincere good wishes to you both for success
in the coming years.
