Events at Central High School\na. Central High School opened at 0830 hours, Central Standard\nTime, 10 March 1958 and closed at 1530 hours, Central Standard Time. Eight\nNegro students arrived and departed in private vehicles.\nb. There was no significant change in attendance at Central High\nSchool.\n2. Dispositions\na. During school hours\nThe 15. During all other hours - Camp Robinson\nOne Platoon, Task Force, 153d Infantry (30 minute alert)\nOne Company (-), Task Force, 153d Infantry (60 minute alert)\nBalance of Task Force, 153d Infantry\n3. Items of Significant Interest\na. On 7 March 1958, Elizabeth Eckford (colored student) reported\nto school officials that she had been splattered by fragments from a raw\negg while changing classes. She had no knowledge of who threw the egg.\nb. On 7 March 1958, the wife of Superintendent Blossom received a\ncall from an unidentified male who threatened her husband's life.\nc. While driving home on the night of 8 March 1958, Superintendent\nBlossom heard a shot when he was within two blocks of his home. He found\nevidence which indicated that his car had been hit by a bullet.
