The original catalog description provided by the Ford Motor Company reads as follows: View of large machinery in plant - man untying and spraying bundles of rubber - bundles fed into large machine - worker near machine takes samples, writes notes on piece of rubber - inserts in carrier and sends up air tube - worker piles large sheets of rubber and tags them - receives piece of rubber through air tube - cuts two more samples and writes ‘E4-136’ on one, inserts in carrier - worker measures width of rubber sheet going through machine - hot sheet of rubber going through machine - sheets folded and put on conveyor belt - marking tags received through air tube - worker picks up bundle of rubber with lift - sheets put into press - cut off roller.
