THE WHITE HOUSE
WASHINGTON
fits
April 12, 1951
Dear Mrs. Roosevelt:
I certainly did appreciate yours of the ninth and, of
course, I am sorry that conditions were such that I
didn't get a chance to see you before you left but I'll
be most happy to talk with you when you come back.
I think our position is the correct one with regard
to Human Rights and with regard to the world foreign
policy, which covers the whole globe and not just one
location.
I am glad you got a chance to tell that Cosmopolitan
author some of the facts. That is one of the most
vicious articles that has ever been written with regard
to my relations with you and President Roosevelt.
Putting it mildly there just wasn't one word of truth
in it. You, of course, know that to be a fact.
I hope you will have a most successful meeting and
that I will have the pleasure of talking with you about
it when you return.
Sincerely yours,
Mrs. Franklin D. Roosevelt
