        "The original exhibit text read: \"Shortly before the start of the 1940 presidential campaign, the Roosevelts hosted an unusual White House meeting with an interracial group of young activists from organizations that included the American Youth Conference, YMCA, YWCA, and  National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). During the meeting, some students demanded answers about the government's treatment of Black citizens, especially regarding voting rights and employment. \n\nThese pages from an unreleased transcript of the meeting contain some of the frank exchanges between students and the President and First Lady. They are a rare example of Franklin D. Roosevelt engaging in direct conversation on the subject of African American rights. \""
