Dear Mr. President: For many years it has been the custom of the Ojai Bakery to send to the President of the United States a specially decorated fruit cake for the Christmas season. Always in the past this presentation has been made in the name of some organization, the county, the state, or some smaller group of admirers. This year, however, we wish to present our cake as a personal gift from Mr. "Bill" Baker, Master baker whose handiwork it is. Mr. Baker has this year taken special care that the cake might be particularly delicious and that the decorations should be even more attractive than in the past in order that this confection may in some slight degree at least convey to you his great admiration and regard for both you and your efforts for the American people.
