Washington, D.C. 20071 PERSONAL THE PRESIDENT February 14, 1990 Dear Angus, Many thanks for your thoughtful letter and that great map of the best fishing spots. I'm looking forward to our spring expedition. As we get closer to April, Patty Presock of my office will be in touch with final details. In the meantime, warmest best wishes, Sincerely, GBd bcc: Patty Presock (action) Joe Hagin (info) 107992 The Washington Post 1150 15TH STREET, N.W. gan d, WASHINGTON, D.C. 20071 (202) 334-6000 WRITER'S DIRECT TELEPHONE NUMBER 202-334-7350 January 23, 1990 The White House 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W. like suggestion we will except have in 5.3 The President Washington, DC 20500 Mr. President: It was good fun talking fishing with you the other day, and I hope our planned bass trip on the Potomac in April works out. I called just Glenn Peacock, my favorite Potomac guide, to say I had a VIP guest coming and he was all for it. fished I'm enclosing a column I did a couple of years ago on a September day spent with Peacock, listing some of the close-by hotspots for bass that we hit, with considerable success. Late April is traditionally every bit as good as early fall, the major difference being that the weather and Fla river conditions are more unpredictable in the spring. But the bass are bigger. One thing Peacock did suggest is that we consider a midweek trip shop instead of a Saturday, since it's always crowded on weekends that time of year. To that end, I've set aside another date -- Wednesday, April 25, as well as the originally planned Saturday, April 28 -- on the outside chance your schedule would permit. If not, Plan A holds. ketone Other than that, all is well here and I hope it is with you, too.
