We is now beginning with the Generee Saie he was in town & wanted to meal w/ Den tobey, 7. February 14, 1989 General Scowcroft: Fred Gottfurcht called with message -- I have received a 10-page FAX regarding the "nine packages. " I was over in France last June and September and I met with certain contacts and now I have this 10-page FAX. I will be in Washington about Noon on February 21 and I believe it would be beneficial to General Scowcroft and the NSC for them to know today's condition, names of the people who are pro and against the present regime, goes over future of what can be accomplished. I have had four phone calls on this and I thought -- my own decision -- is that it belongs with the NSC. FYI: I told Mr. Gottfurcht that your schedule is very compressed and you would be unable to meet with him. However, if he felt that the information he has is something he wanted to pass to you, he could mail it to your office. Mr. Gottfurcht said he would send information to you and if you should have any questions, you could call him in Palm Beach at: 407/832-8511.
