Dear Mary Kate:
Rev. Woodrow Church
Michael Daugherty, M.D.
David Hager M.D.
Rev. Hoge Hockensmith
Per our conversation yesterday, I am requesting an official
Rev. James T. Howard
Rev. Ray Huddle
greeting on Sunday, January 22nd, to a pro-life gathering
Kay Kask
by then President Bush. We will be meeting in an open
Helen Kendall
Priscilla Lynd. M.O.
park in downtown Lexington, Kentucky. The constituency
Rev. Benjamin Moore
Steve Petrey
will be made up of several educational and service (help
Hon. Tim Philpot
for women with problem pregnancies) pro-life groups including
Rev. James Pierce
Rev. Wellace Rendel
Eagle Forum, Women For Life (service group), Right To Life,
Ft. John Roll
Rev. Ted Sisk
and Committee For Life. Our message will be twofold:
Rev. Wayne Smith
Sue Ann Truit
first, to continue to state that abortion is nothing more
than "infanticide inutero", and second (and more importantly),
we are going to challenge the people of Central Kentucky
to roll up their sleeves and help these women have genuine
life-saving alternatives to abortion. These are law abiding
citizens of concern.
I recommend the greeting be "generically" worded, something
like "Dear Lexington Citizens For Life". I suggest it
be mailed to my home to arrive by Thursday, January 19th.
Kent Ostrander
263 Cochran Road
Lexington, Kentucky 40502
I am mailing a copy of a newspaper which describes an activity
similar to this one sponsored by the same basic groups
to which President Reagan and our Governor responded.
I trust it will validate our legitimacy.
Thank you for your attention.
Sincerely (t Out yours,
Kent Ostrander
