SUBJECT:
WHITE HOUSE BRIEFING - MIT CLUB
The MIT Club of Washington has requested a briefing with
representatives of the Administration. I feel this would be a
fun and interesting group, and am trying to put the pieces
together. They're very interested in the area (s) of science and
technology and, since you're our resident authority in that
department, it would be great if you could work this event into
your schedule.
The briefing will be from 4:30pm till 6pm in Room 450 of the
OEOB. At present, available dates include November 6th, 8th, and
13th, (Monday, Wednesday and Monday respectively). The event
would require no more than 20 minutes of your time - half for
remarks and half for Q&A. If all goes according to plan, the
program will consist of Governor Sununu, Roger Porter and you.
Please let me know if you're interested in addressing this group
and if so, which date looks best.

The Club will limit the size of the audience to the space
limitations of the facility to be used - certainly a program
of this stature could draw 300 people or more (if space
permits). The Club normally makes a charge for these programs
to its membership in order to reimburse the hosting facility
for the cost of the food provided, and we would expect to do
so in this case.
I am able to meet with you or your staff at your
convenience to discuss this matter in detail. I may be
