THE WHITE HOUSE
WASHINGTON
December 18, 1991
MEMORANDUM FOR KATHERINE L. SUPER
FROM:
D. ALLAN BROMLEY
Anan
SUBJECT:
POLYTECHNIC UNIVERSITY REQUEST
The attached letter to the President from George Bugliarello, the President of the
Polytechnic University of New York, is self-explanatory and I realize that you will not
be scheduling for May until much closer to the actual event.
I have had an opportunity to see this Metrotech development in New York and I
believe that its dedication would provide an excellent opportunity for the President to
make a major address relating to science and technology, and to its role in
revitalizing urban economies.
I will be happy to provide any additional information that I might have that would be
useful to you in considering this request. If at all possible I would urge you to try to
include it among the major talks scheduled for the President during this coming
summer.
