THE WHITE HOUSE
WASHINGTON
October 16, 1990
MEMORANDUM FOR GOVERNOR SUNUNU
FROM:
D. ALLAN BROMLEY Aua
SUBJECT: TECHNOLOGY POLICY
Attached is a copy of a statement of the Administration's current technology policy.
This policy paper grew out of several requests from Congress during the course of the
year for a single statement of Administration policies. It was compiled with the
assistance of the Chairman of the Council on Economic Advisors, OMB staff, EOP,
and other interested Federal government agencies. It is not intended to break any
new policy ground, but instead it can serve as the baseline for our current policies.
I would be happy to discuss further with you the genesis of this document and future
steps to take in addressing some of the issues raised in the process of compiling the
policy statement.
