"CHOICES" ANTI-DRUG AND ALCOHOL PROGRAM
Good evening students and parents of Delmarva. I'm glad
you're here tonight to take part in "Choices", and to hear Montel
Williams speak.
It's a complicated world you're growing up in, and at times
you might feel overwhelmed by all the choices facing you.
Tonight, you're going to get help making some of those choices,
especially about drugs and alcohol. One of the greatest
challenges America faces today is stopping drug use by young
people. We are working around the clock to get drugs off the
streets, out of the schools and out of our workplace, but we
can't do it alone. Let the dealers and the users know that
they're not wanted at Parkside or Bennett or Wie [WHY] High. But
even more important, I'm asking you to think about what you can
do to make a difference for someone else. If you know somebody
who is hooked on drugs -- help them get off. drugs. Give someone else a
chance.
The choices you make today regarding drugs and alcohol will
affect the rest of your life and the lives of everyone around
you. Say yes to your life to your future and the future of this
country.
I'm counting on you, the students and parents of Delmarva to
help lead the way to a drug free America. Enjoy tonight's
program. Learn from it. Pass the message along. Thank you, and
God bless you all.
