V(A) "The fruit of the Spirit is love." Only as we live in love can we fulfill the will of God in our lives. The
believer must become love-inspired, love-mastered and love-driven (Page 1091-II Cor. 5:14). Without the
fruit of the Spirit (love), we are just a religious noise (Page 1082-I Cor. 13:1).
"The fruit of the Spirit is love," and it is manifested in joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness,
faith, meekness, temperance:
(1) Joy is love's strength.
(2) Peace is love's security.
(3) Long-suffering is love's patience.
(4) Gentleness is love's conduct.
(5) Goodness is love's character.
(6) Faith is love's confidence.
(7) Meekness is love's humility.
(8) Temperance is love's victory.
"Against such there is no law.
A Holy Spirit-controlled man needs no law to cause him to live a righteous life. The secret of a Spirit-
controlled life is found: (Page1066-Rom. 12:1,2). Put your all on the altar, and the Holy Spirit will fill your
heart with the love of God (Page1059-Rom. 5:5).

Two hundred and forty years ago, a great patriot of both the
United States and France observed that "They that can give up
essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve
neither liberty nor safety."
The liberty that Ben Franklin spoke of helped inspire the
American Revolution. And then propeled the French Revolution.
That liberty gave birth to America's Bill of Rights. And to that
mirror of democracy -- the Rights of Man.
Today, we celebrate "essential liberty" in a house which
gives love to life. And which provides the most permanent, not
"temporary safety," known to man.
Such "safety" springs from a God who asks only that we love
Him, and that we Honor Him in a most profound and personal way --
daily, as human beings, by the conduct of our lives.
Their are several passages from the Bible which speak of
"essential liberty," and of God's caress which makes freedom
possible. They are Galatians 5 1: and 13-24. And I'd like to
