PRESIDENTIAL REMARKS:
SUPERCONDUCTING SUPER COLLIDER
FOR RADIO BROADCAST IN TEXAS
The House vote to kill the Super Collider symbolizes
everything that's wrong with the liberal bosses in Congress. The
vote is a reckless attempt to strike back at Texas congressmen
from both parties who fought to pass the balanced budget
amendment. Common-sense Americans all across this country
understand the value of the Collider. This project is vital to
our position as the scientific leader of the world. That's why
I'll pull out all the stops to keep funding the Collider when
this issue goes before the Senate.
