RE: SCHEDULING PHOTOS FOR INTERNS
The Communications Office, would like to set up an
on-going process for scheduling our interns for
pictures with the President and Vice President, during
their internships. We will have interns coming and
going, hopefully, year around.
Presently, we only have 2 interns in the Communications
staff, but we are expecting more over the next few
weeks.
Please give me direction on these procedures. I can be
reached at extension 2245.

MEMO TO: CHRISS WINSTON
FROM: HOLLY WILLIAMSON HW
RE: INTERNS
The following lists my tentative plan for the Public
Affairs and Media Relations interns this session:
WEEK 1 -- Presidential Departure
WEEK 2 -- Rose Garden Reception
WEEK 3 -- The West Wing and Lower Residence
WEEK 4 -- Capital Hill tour and sit-in the gallery
WEEK 5 -- The Pentagon tour
WEEK 6 -- The State Department tour
This summer, when we have more interns, I can schedule
briefings and/or speakers at different places such as
the Pentagon.
I talked with Kathy Super, in scheduling, about
photo-ops with the President and Vice President. They
are going over their policy now, but it is sounds like
they may schedule only group photos and not individual
pictures for all interns.
If you have any further ideas, please let me know.

A few notes on activities for the next two weeks:
1. Please RSVP to me for the West Wing tour scheduled on

2. Thursday July 6th, an Eastern European Symposium is scheduled

interesting and will involve some complex issues. If you are
interested in attending any portion of the briefing, please
let me know later today or early Thursday morning. I have a
schedule of the event and the speakers.
Also there is a chance that OPL will need additional help for
the event. If you can volunteer, please let me know.
3. OPL is holding a large event on Friday July 7 for Little
League Baseball players that will involve approximately 5000
guests. If you can volunteer to help and would like to
