C.\nDear Mr. Duval:\nI am writing to confirm our telephone conversation\nrelative to our desire to meet with Messrs. Cannon and Dunham.\nWe believe it would be productive to meet with them, together or\nseparately, as you see fit, to personally brief them, as we have\nwith you, on the facts, status and outlook for the Arctic Gas pro-\nject. (We are also eager to update our information to you at that\ntime or separately.)\nThe subjects include the likely schedule for approvals,\nthe question of federal financial participation in large energy pro-\njects -- relative to which we have had discussions with officials\nat the Treasury Department, Federal Energy Administration and\nInterior Department representatives -- and the importance of\ntiming to the receipt of gas from Alaska.\nAs I mentioned, we are scheduled to see Mr. Seidman\non September 8. For meeting or meetings which are the subject\nof this letter, may I suggest September 3, 4 or 5, or September 8\n(early morning or early afternoon).
