On Friday at :00 p.m. the attached list of newspaper editors
and publishers will be our guests in the Roosevelt Room. The
purpôse of our meeting will be to provide these individuals
with a better perspective of the President and some of his
major policies, programs and goals. It is anticipated that the
meeting will last approximately 30-45 minutes. The specific
purpose of this memo is to invite your participation in this
meeting. I feel that your presence would add a great deal to the
purpose and substance of the meeting.
My secretary will call your office on Thursday to ascertain
your availability for this meeting. For your information,
the President plans to have a brief Oval Office visit with this
same group immediately prior to the Roosevelt Room meeting.
