Idea of improving and preserving community started 51 years ago by Vergennes Cooperatáve Club. (Mrs. Jessie Rogers, one of charter group, may be at homecoming) Don McPherson's mother started the Club Historical Society is a "select and dedicated group" with goals of making the future better and yet keeping an "abiding love for the past."
