West Central Michigan Historical Society homecoming
(You were at dedication of Fallasburg Park when in high S chool there with
your dad.)
Idea of improving and preserving community started 51 years ago by Vergennes
Cooperatáve Club. (Mrs. Jessie Rogers, one of charter group, may be at homecoming)
Don McPherson's mother started the Club
Historical Society is a "select and dedicated group" with goals of making the
future better and yet keeping an "abiding love for the past."

Move on to get state and fed $$$ help restore Fallasburg Village....
in earláir history it was: thriving place with Kent County's
first seminary of higher e ducation
first furniture factory
first flour mill
first whisky still
on log drives down river Fallasburg was trading point.. scene of July 4th
