WASHINGTON
April 26, 1973
Dear Girls and Boys:
Letters from young friends hold special meaning
for me, and I was particularly pleased when
Congressman Gerald Ford sent me your thought-
ful messages concerning the peace agreement.
Now we must turn toward the task of building a
lasting, healing peace for southeast Asia and for
all the world. With your help and support, I am
confident that we can build such a peace.
With my appreciation and best wishes to each of
you,
Sincerely,

Dear Congressman Ford:
Enclosed please find our children's letters to the President
and a special tape they have made for him along with a picture of
our school. We are a very small elementary school with an enrollment
of 119 children in grades 1 through 3. We are a part of the Northview
School System.
Our children love to sing and wanted so very much to share their
happiness and show their gratitude to the president that we felt they
should have that opportunity if at all possible.
Your secretary was most co-operative and assured us you would see
that the president received this. We are most grateful for your help.
