Enclosed please find a still photo taken from the 8 mm color movie
filmed on 2-26-65 in my "ront yard, of a Venusian Scout Ship. It
will be possible to arrange a showing in the near future if you wish.
This is one of the many Interplanetary Space Ships which I have been
priviledged to see since learning of their presence among us, then
calling the Late Mr. George Adamski, and offering my services three
years ago.
The Scout Ship did not land in our yard that day although it was very
near. I have spoken to a number of these Visitors from our Solar Syst
before the filming, and I still see them, the ships and people, quite
frequently.
An increasing number of our citizens here in America, and in other
countries are aware of the shameful way we have threated these Noble

Visitors from nearby planets who are helping us in so many ways.
The BELLIGERANT, GESTAPO LIKE TACTICS OF THE NATIONAL INVESTIGATIONS
COMMITTEE ON AERIAL PHENOENOMENA, headed by Major D. Keyhoe, and R. Hall
will not keep the reasons for the presence of these visitors from Space
hidden from the people.
The citizens from which organizations in our Government steal evidence
from, including 14 feet of my film of the Venusian Scout Ship, have
every reason to expect that this kind of approach will bring you great
embarrassment later. These people are coming in greater numbers.
They wish to bring their ships on TV- world wide immediately.
What has become of integrity, and consideration for the people? Why do
you allow the citizens to be used in such a manner, while you in our
Government insult their intelligence, and integrity? Is this the way of
hiding political guilt?
Since these people from our neighboring planets live for hundreds of
years in healthy, youthful condition, could we not learn more from them
than how to breath the atmosphere of space and their planets?
All people from our neighboring planets in this Solar System, and beyond
are greatly affected by our progress, or our lack of it, more than you
seem to realize. We of this Earth are in reality, part of a unit.

That we should even consider permitting any organization (THE UNITED
NATIONS) in this instance, to hold soverignty above that of our
Congress shows how far we have drifted from the origional concept
of government as outlined in our Constitution

Civil Rights Legislation which I understand Mr. Goldberg has
succeeded in pushing thru The United Nations
How are you going to
vote on this?
Back to thought control: if an atomic bomb can obliberate all of
Grand "apids as well as part of Kent County, what have we to fear
from a few space vehicle's from outer Space? What do we have to fear?
I am not apathetic I am not going to rest until I have full and

Again we find the press filed with reports of the
sighting of Unidentified Flying Objects with sigbs that some people
tend to become pertrbed by such sighting.
It is not my intention to claim I'm an experts
of such UFO's. on the other hand I do recall haveing seen such object
since I was a small lad , living on a farm in Kansas, Since that time I
have seen them in every part of the world that I have visited. Aswell
as many time during my years at sea.
When I was in Navel Avation during the early tw-
enties, I gain considerable knowledge of the atmosphere as well as the
some of the unusal manisfastation of gasses. The study of atmospleric

condition was a prt of my training as an instructor in theroy of flight
for boty lighter and heaiver than air.
Against this back ground with the fact that
one accumalates during a life time, and some recent study of the component
parts of which the air is composed, along with tempatures, density and
other forces that are present. I feel that there is nothing extra-terrest-
ial about such sightings.
On the other hand I would be one of the first to
say "Yes these people do see some thing, Some thing which they do not
know what is is". Yet a little time spent in study of material that is
nearly every home, and surely in every public libarary, these people
could learn or understand to some extent that what they are seeing is
nothing to fear, but to be much admired.
One thing that can give a clue to these is
the refraction of light rays, such as accures in a mirage, Starting from
this It is ny felief that ninty nine of such sighting that are mistaken
sighting of known objects can de accounted for. With a reasonable
doubt cast on the other one percent.

of unidentified flying objects for use in your term paper in high school.
I am pleased to enclose copies of the press releases that I have made
calling for an investigation of these sightings and giving the most

You have asked for my views as to whether there are really UFO's.
In one sense there is no question but that there are unidentified flying
objects. In the strict sense of the term, there have been a number
of sightings which even the Air Force admits are unidentified as being
any aircreft or other known phanomena. Speaking in this way, there is
no doubt that there are unidentified flying objects.
As to whether they come from other planess and as 00 whether the situation
is being completely "white-washed," I cannot say. However that is the
very reason that I have called for the investigation. I hope the enclosed
comments will be helpful for your paper. You may also wish to write to
the National Investigations Committee on Aerial Phenomena, 1536 Connecticut
Avenue, N.W., Washington, D.C.

I'm certain you realized the pundits would laugh
as well as many other congressmen and average citizens,
but the majority agree with you. That is my honest
belief
and I for one appreciate the courage you
demonstrate in asking for the probe of something which

It is extremely puzzling to have so many
persons
many of them expert witnesses
report such
phenomena. While I personally do not agree with them,
many persons feel certain the Air Force is doing an
intentional whitewash of the whole matter. The only
way to clear the air is to have a congressional probe.
It may be that such an investigation would reveal only
that there is something up there
but we don't know
what it is. So be it. We're entitled to know that much.

situation which almost certainly would lead to ridicule.

Dear Representative Ford:
I continue to support your suggestions for an open
congressional hearing about UFOs.
Many local law authorities here in southern Michigan
are dissatisfied with the explanations given by Dr. Hynek.
In fact, the Hillsdale civil defense director says that Hynek
had no good explanation, but that the next day, on Air Force
orders, was told to use the swamp gas theory. I have the
recorded interview on tape.
Now there is a. larger issue at stake here than just UFOs.
This concerns military control and censorship. If you (and
other congressmen) examine the cases in the UFO Evidence, you'll
see that the Air Force has no real explanations. And the
AF has other cases which NICAP is unable to obtain.
Now if the military (Air Force, in this case) is not
to be trusted or believed, why should the military (Army)
be believed or blindly followed with the activities it is engaged
with on another continent? 1 have no personal quarrel with

the military-I have fellowship for graduate school-but I can
strongly sympathize with those who disagree with the military
policies currently in practice.
I find it hard to believe Army reports about 'progress'

Gentlemen:
I wish to urge your committee to undertake a complete
and open investigation of Unidentified Flying Objects.
Disregarding the wild tales by persons who are obviously
mentally unbalanced, disregarding the known phenomena
misinterpreted by normal persons, there are still a
considerable number of "sightings" that have not been
intelligently explained in a manner appropriate to the
circumstances involved.
I find Dr. J. Allen Hynek's silly "marsh-gas" theory,
in the instance of the recent Michigan sightings, has caused
some intelligent people to wonder if "these things might be

a new Russian secret weapon." I do not believe this, but this
shows how suspicious people have become of foolish explanations.
Some years ago, we Americans sat on our ample derrieres
and laughed at ole "Moony" Goddard. (How anxious was Congress,
in "the early days", to give Dr. Robert H. Goddard the backing
he deserved? To be sure, Congress eventually woke up along with
other Americans--but Germans were making V-2's by then, weren't
they?) It would be my fervent hope that we not be penny-wise and
pound-foolish. If sincere and intelligent investigation proves
there is nothing to UFO's, then they shall forever be put to
rest. If the investigation does reveal something of interest,
then we should remember that we inherited our Earth from Him
in fee simple--we are neither the Creators of the Universe nor
its masters. Recent surveys I have heard about indicate that
people believe, by about 4 to 1, that UFO's are of extra-
terrestrial origin.
How many members of the committee have ever seen anything
strange in the sky? I have. About 1959 on a starlit, moonless
November evening, I saw five UFO's (steadily shining red lights)
pop into the sky. These undulating objects (about the size of
your thumbnail at arm's length) wavered in the sky as if they
were attached to a kite tail that fluttered back and forth. I
am familiar with the aircraft that fly over this valley. I

served with the Air Force during World War II. I am a school
teacher; and I am also an amateur radio operator, licensed by
the Federal Communications Commission. Let me assure you: as
I watched these strange lights swiftly pass silently overhead
and then almost instantly disappear from view, I had the eerie
feeling that someone was watching me! Others in this area, I
later found, had also seen these lights. We did not report them
to any official agency because we were well aware of the public
humiliation that surely follows (as happened the other day to
the fine and truthful people in Michigan!).
I hope you gentlemen have the courage and the determination
to launch a complete, public investigation immediately. Such
action is long overdue.
