National Blood Donor Month
January, 1975
It is most appropriate that we set aside the month of
January to honor those Americans who have given their
blood freely to benefit their fellowman. During this
traditional National Volunteer Blood Donor Month, I
welcome the opportunity to salute these fellow citizens
whose generosity has helped to save so many lives.
I urge all our people to join the noble ranks of these
volunteer blood donors, and I express my deep appre-
ciation to those who have dedicated so much of their
time and energy to this vital effort.
