THE WHITE HOUSE WASHINGTON CHRISTMAS 1976 Mrs. Ford and I send our warmest holiday greetings to all our fellow citizens. We have much to be grateful for as we end this Bicentennial year and begin our third century of independence. During this Holy Season it is especially fitting that we give thanks to God for His past blessings on our country and ask for His help as we renew our commitment to make America a still better place in which to live. For two hundred years the spirit of goodwill and human brotherhood which this Holiday evokes has guided our national development and contributed to our vitality and strength as a free people. Let us resolve on this historic Christmas to keep this spirit strong and vital in our lives and in the life of our great country. Merald R. Ford FORD & LIBRARY 03
