I AM PLEASED TO WELCOME HERE TODAY THE AWARDS RECIPIENTS, THE MEMBERS OF CONGRESS AND OFFICIALS OF THE SMALL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION. Mark mcKay. - 2 - 2. SMALL BUSINESS IS A VITAL PART OF OUR FREE 9 ENTERPRISE SYSTEM, ENCOMPASSING APPROXIMATELY NINE 44 MILLION BUSINESSES ACCOUNTING FOR FORTY-EIGHT PERCENT OF GNP 55 THE GROSS NATIONAL PRODUCT AND FIFTY-FIVE PERCENT OF THE LABOR FORCE. - 3 - 3. IT TAKES COURAGE TO START A BUSINESS TODAY AND SKILL AND DEDICATION TO MAKE IT A SUCCESS.
