BICENTENNIAL TAPING
(THIRTY SECONDS)
- 1 -
AS AMERICA OBSERVES THE BICENTENNIAL CELEBRATION
OF ITS INDEPENDENCE, IT IS MY HOPE THAT ALL OF US WILL
REDEDICATE OURSELVES TO THE PRINCIPLES OF HUMAN EQUALITY,
SELF-GOVERNMENT AND NATIONAL UNITY THAT INSPIRED OUR REVOLUTION
AND MADE THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA A SYMBOL OF HOPE AND
STRENGTH FOR ALL THE WORLD.
LET THESE "SELF-EVIDENT" TRUTHS, WHICH GAVE BIRTH
TO OUR NATION TWO CENTURIES AGO, GIVE PURPOSE TO OUR
CELEBRATION TODAY.
