I have made arrangements for our portable minicam videotape unit to be available for the entirety of Mrs. Ford's visit. Since we are a network owned and operated station, we will be doing taping not only for our ninety-minute special program that will air this Sunday, October 26, but we will also be feeding news stories concerning Mrs. Ford's visit to the entire network. Obviously, an opportunity to talk to the First Lady for only a few minutes would mean more exposure. I would even be willing to take the minicam unit to the airport and videotape something with her upon her arrival, en route to downtown Cleveland in her limousine, or any location at any time that would be convenient to the First Lady. Attached is a list of the personnel, their positions and Social Security numbers, that I would have with me on Saturday. I understand that you need this information for proper Secret Service clearance.
