Ford Presidential Library PROPOSED SCHEDULE THE PRESIDENT'S VISIT TO THE RESERVE OFFICERS ASSOCIATION MID-WINTER CONFERENCE Washington Hilton Hotel Friday, February 21, 1975 Attire: Black Tie 8:10 pm ROA National Bicentennial Banquet begins in International Ballroom. 9:10 pm The President boards motorcade on South Grounds. MOTORCADE DEPARTS South Grounds en route Washington Hilton Hotel. [Driving time: 7 minutes] 9:17 pm MOTORCADE ARRIVES Washington Hilton Hotel (VIP entrance). The President will be met by: BGEN Ted W. Sorensen, USAFR, National President, ROA Cmdr. John Kwekel, Past Vice President, ROA PRESS POOL COVERAGE The President, escorted by General Sorensen and Commander Kwekel, proceeds to offstage holding area, via elevator, and pauses for announcement to the ROA National Bicentennial Banquet. 9:20 pm Dinner concludes. 9:20 pm "Ruffles and Flourishes" Announcement "Hail to the Chief" -2- 9:21 pm The President, escorted by General Sorensen and Commander Kwekel, proceeds to head table and is seated. OPEN PRESS COVERAGE ATTENDANCE: 2500 9:22 pm General Sorensen introduces Senator John C. Stennis (D-Miss.). 9:24 pm Remarks by Senator Stennis, concluding in the introduction of the President and the presentation of the ROA's Minute- Man Award to the President. 9:30 pm Presidential remarks.
