THE WHITE HOUSE
STATEMENT BY THE PRESS SECRETARY
The President is sending the Vice Fresident to Saudi Arabia as his
Personal Representative to convey the deep sympathy of the Ameri can
people to His Majesty, King Khalid, over the loss of His Majesty,
King Faisal. The Vice President will be carrying a personal message
from the President to King Khalid expressing his condolences on the
death of this great leader and his confidence that the bonds of
friendship which have been forged between Saudi Arabia and the United
States will endure. The Vice President is scheduled to depart Washington
late this evening,
