Ford Presidential Library\nJULY 25, 1975\nOffice of the White House Press Secretary\nNOTICE TO THE PRESS\n10:00 a.m. Posting\nThe President's Schedule\nThe President came to the Oval Office at 7:40 a.m. today and met with\nmembers of his staff during the morning.\nAt 8:00 a. m., there was a meeting of the Republican Congressional\nLeadership in the Cabinet Room. The leaders had requested the meeting\nto discuss pending legislation and review the budget outlook for Fiscal\n1976 and 1977. The President, OMB Director James Lynn and the Leaders\nspoke briefly.\nAt 9:00 a. m., the President met the Bipartisan Congressional Leadership\nin the Cabinet Room. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the\nPresident's plans for submitting a new energy proposal to Congress.\nAt 11:00 a. m., the President is scheduled to meet with a Congressional\nDelegation and Representative Citizens' Group. Attending will be seven\nmembers of Congress and representatives of Americans of Eastern\nEuropean background (a list has been posted). The President will have\na statement and there will be coverage by a writing pool and cameramen\nand photographers in the Cabinet Room.\nAt 12:00 noon, the President will hold a meeting with Representatives\nof the Business Roundtable to discuss legislation permitting picketing at\nconstruction sites. This is one of a series of meetings the President\nhas had with groups interested in this legislation.\nAt 12:45 p. m., the President will meet with William J. Usery, Jr.,\nSpecial Assistant to the President for Labor Negotiations. He will\ndiscuss the recent negotiations between the nation's railroad companies and\nthe Brotherhood of Railway and Airline Clerks and also between the U. S.\nPostal Service and its postal Unions.\nAt 12:55 p. m., the President will meet with Albert Rees, Chairman of the\nCouncil on Wage and Price Stability. This is a farewell call for Chairman Rees,\nwho is returning to Princeton University as Provost on July 31. He has been\nChairman since September 28, 1974. The Rees family will attend.\nAt 4:00 p.m., there will be a meeting of the National Security Council.\nPostings and Announcements\n1. The President today announced the appointment of members of the\nNational Commission on New Technological Uses of Copyrighted Works\n(release).\n2.\nThe President has signed H. R. 5709, Offshore Shrimp Fisheries Act\nAmendments of 1975.\n3. Executive Order on the functions of the Director of OMB.\n#\n#\n#"
