TO
THE SOCIALIST REPUBLIC OF ROMANIA
FOR
SUNDAY, AUGUST 3, 1975
PRESS POOLS
PRESS NOTE: Those manifested aboard the Presidential train to Sinaia
are listed below. Only the Bucharest to Belgrade Air Force One pool will
make the return train trip to Bu charest.
Others who wish to visit Sinaia should board buses in front of the Intercontinental
Hotel at 7:30 a.m. Members of pools in Sinaia should be aboard. Others
should be aware that the Romanian government will not permit open coverage
of any Presidential event in Sinaia.
Those who wish to remain in Bucharest should meet the baggage deadline
(6:30-8:00 a.m. in the lobby of the hotel) and should board buses en route the
airport by 3:00 p.m.
PRESS POOL #7 - Travel pool depart Intercontinental Press Center at 7:15;
Travel pool from Spring Palace to Presidential Train and board train
becoming part of Press Pool #9. Members of Press Pool #7 MUST
come from members of Press Pool #9.

PRESS POOL #8 - Departs Intercontinental Press Center on Press Bus #1
at 7:30 a. m. to preposition at Sinaia Train Station. Coverage will include
brief ceremony as President Ford and Mrs. Ford and sident Ceaugescu
and Mrs. Ceausescu depart the train. Members of Press Pool #8 may NOT
be those manifested aboard the train as Press Pool #9.

Pelisor Residence to Monastery to Pelisor Residence to Peles Palace
on foot for meeting with Ceausescu to Press Center.
PRESS NOTE: Because of unreasonable security restrictions imposed
by the Romanian government, the White House regrets the length of this
pool. Arrangements will be made for writers to drop off at each site to
bring pool reports back to the Press Center.
