Ford Presidential Library\nDECEMBER 29, 1975\nPOOL REPORT\n9:00 a. m. to 3:00 p.m.\nThe President started skiing at 11:00 a.m. Walking over to Gondola One\nhe waived to greeters but did not stop and went in back door before\nboarding Gondola Sixteen for the ride up. A few minutes later he skied\ndown to the chair lift near the Gondola where he met Billy Kidd, considered\none of the top U. S. skiers, who joined the President's party for the\nlatter part of the skiing. No pool coverage on the meeting with Kidd\nor the ride up on the chair lift because no one was informed of it.\nThe President skied down about 2:15 p.m. and said to reporters who had\nasked about his skiing partners \"you mean the Vail follies. 11\nFord was then asked if Sheika was raising any money for him and he\nsaid, \"I don't know anything about it. I have got a lot of friends here. 11\nHe then walked toward his house and when someone asked if he had\nany New Year's resolutions, he said, \"A good year for everybody.\"\nSheika talked to the pool about the party tonight and said that her fund\nraising activities \"have absolutely nothing to do with tonight.\"\n\"It's just my dinner, 11 she said.\nShe did say that people could give money to the Ford campaign if they\nwanted to but there was no connection with the dinner. She said those\nattending included old friends of the Fords and some friends of hers\nwhom she wanted to introduce to the President.\nAldo Beckman/Chicago Tribune\n# # #"
