NOTICE TO THE PRESS
The President today announced the appointment of F. Clifton White, of
Greenwich, Connecticut, as a member of the Advisory Commission on
Intergovernmental Relations for a term of two years. He succeeds Robert
H. Finch whose term expired May 28, 1975.
Mr. White is President of F. Clifton White and Associates, Inc. of Greenwich,
Connecticut.
The Commission was established by Public Law 86-380 of September 24,
1959 and consists of 26 members serving terms of two years. Of the 26
members, 20 are appointed by the President, 3 by the President of the
Senate, and 3 by the Speaker of the House.
The Commission was established to maintain a continuing review of the
operation of the Federal system and make recommendations for improvements.
