Ford Presidential Library FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE FEBRUARY 4, 1976 Office of the White House Press Secretary THE WHITE HOUSE The President today announced his intention to nominate Warren B. Rudman, of Nashua, New Hampshire, to be an Interstate Commerce Commissioner for a term of seven years expiring December 31, 1982. He will succeed Kenneth H. Tuggle who has resigned. Mr. Rudman has been Attorney General of New Hampshire since 1970. Upon confirmation by the Senate the President will designate him as Chairman of the Commission. Mr. Rudman was born on May 18, 1930, in Boston, Massachusetts. He received his B.S. degree in 1952 from Syracuse University and his LL. B. from Boston College Law School in 1960. He served in the United States Army as a Captain from 1952 to 1954. In 1960, Mr. Rudman joined the law firm of Stein, Rudman & Gormley as a partner and remained with the firm until 1970. Mr. Rudman is married to the former Shirley Heckeit and they have three children. # # #
