NOTICE TO THE PRESS
The President today acknowledged the retirement of Edwin F. Hunter, Jr.,
as a United States District Judge for the Western District of Louisiana,
effective February 19, 1976.
He has served in this post since his appointment by President Eisenhower
on October 3, 1953.
There is no successor to announce at this time.
The President today accepted the resignation of James R. Cowan as an
Assistant Secretary of Defense, effective March 1, 1976.
There is no successor to announce at this time.
