THE WHITE HOUSE
The President today announced the appointment of five persons as members
of the Board of Foreign Scholarships. They are:
John E. Dolibois, of Oxford, Ohio, Vice President for Development
and Alumni Affairs, Miami University, Oxford, Ohio. This is for the
remainder of the term expiring September 22, 1976. He succeeds
James D. Theberge who has resigned.
For terms expiring September 22, 1978
Houston I. Flournoy, of Palos Verdes Estates, California, Dean of
the Center for Public Affairs, University of Southern California, Los
Angeles, California. He succeeds David Lissy whose term has expired.
J. Archie Hargraves, of Raleigh, North Carolina, President, Shaw
University, Raleigh, North Carolina. This is a reappointment.
Michael Radock, of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Vice President for Univer-
sity Relations and Development and Professor of Journalism. The
University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan. He succeeds John E.
Dolibois whose term has expired.
Gordon D. Wimpress, Jr., of San Antonio, Texas, President, Trinity
University, San Antonio, Texas. This is a reappointment.
The Board consists of 12 members serving staggered terms of three years.
The Chairman is elected by the Board.
The purpose of the Board is to select students, scholars, teachers, trainees,
and other persons to participate in the educational exchange programs.
